It’s been said, “When the soldier goes to war the entire community goes to war!” We live in the land of the free because of the brave! Most military members and their families do not wish to be thought of or treated any differently than other people…However; the special circumstances of military life can severely test their faith and spiritual strength. The challenges of reassignments, lengthy separations from loved ones, deployments in harm’s way, dangerous and traumatic experiences, and financial issues lead to a special need for fellowship, love, mentoring and caring that our community has the opportunity and duty to give them. Wallace Bruce said it perfectly, “Who kept the faith and fought the fight; The glory theirs, the duty ours.”
